Overcoming challenges together

Oceans of Hope Challenge is an initiative that offers people with multiple sclerosis (MS) the chance to leave the constraints of their daily lives behind for a while and experience the freedom of the sea. Through sailing trips and expeditions, the organisation brings participants together to challenge them, build self-confidence and create a sense of community.

During these adventures, people with MS actively participate in life on board. They learn to navigate, hoist the sails and work together as a team. This not only provides a physical challenge, but also helps to push boundaries and discover new possibilities. It is about empowerment, connection and breaking through the mental barriers that MS can bring.

Oceans of Hope Challenge & Arruno Exploration

For the third year in a row, Arruno Exploration and T/S Saeftinghe are joining forces with Oceans of Hope Challenge. This allows us to give people with MS the chance for a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. During our Arctic Norwegian Expedition 2025, we will set sail with T/S Saftinghe to the far north and here we will receive Ocean's of Hope people from all over the world for two periods.

On board the T/S Saeftinghe, everything is about cooperation, perseverance and experiencing the power of nature. Participants are fully immersed in life at sea, learn the basics of sailing and are challenged beyond the limitations of MS. The expedition offers not only a physical challenge, but also a profound mental and emotional experience, focusing on personal growth and connection.

Gratefully, we look forward to working with Oceans of Hope Challenge again and making this special journey possible. Together, we prove that MS does not have to be a limitation to experience extraordinary adventures.
