As you can read in the previous news article, we had to leave Arruno during the last ocean crossing because we were unable to control the incoming water. The reason is still unknown!
A cargo ship, the Independant Pursuit, rescued my 3 Canadian friends and myself. We had to leave Arruno adrift on the vast ocean. This incident has forced us, on behalf of Arruno-Exploration, to cancel our summer program. However, we are not discouraged and together with the participants we are setting up an alternative program, one without S/V Arruno.
