A spring trip along the Scheldt and Belgian coast.

From Antwerp to Ostend via the Western Scheldt and the North Sea.

Our programme during this trip

Embarkation

T/S Saeftinghe is in the port of Antwerp.

Embarkation will take place in Antwerp on Friday evening 31/03/2023.

The programme

Saturday we will then leave around high tide towards the Scheldt estuary and there are a few options.

Either we will anchor somewhere along the way, or call at Terneuzen or Vlissingen.

Depending on the weather, we will then spend the next few days on our North Sea, each time anchoring in a port in the evening.

Disembarkation

Disembarkation is scheduled for Tuesday evening (04/04/2023) in Ostend.

For whom is this intended?

For anyone who feels like sailing down the Scheldt and getting a taste of our North Sea.

Along with the captain, there are 2 experienced crew members on board. Do you have knowledge of sailing and want to brush up on your experience or are you a novice, we will go out together and everyone will be involved in the working of the ship and the sailing itself according to their own abilities and interests.

By now it is spring but it can still be fairly chilly. Warm clothing is definitely a must.

T/S Saeftinghe has central heating inside but outside, during the watches, it can certainly be quite fresh.
