Mondiale Werken Regio Lier (MoWe) is a voluntary organisation that has been supporting people in a vulnerable position since 2016. Among others, MoWe supports asylum seekers, refugees, homeless people and people without legal residence in the region between Antwerp and Mechelen. Through 25 projects, MoWe aims to stimulate carrying capacity and create connection.

Since 2018, the non-profit organisation Mondiale Werken Regio Lier has been organising holiday weekends.

As it is often not easy for non-native speakers, refugees and people in a vulnerable position to plan a holiday on their own, MoWe organises a weekend for them in a relaxed atmosphere. Volunteers and their families can also participate.

In the weekend of 29 September to 1 October 2023, MoWe is organising the weekend 'Sailing with the sailing yacht Saeftinghe' for young people for the second time.

We will board in Antwerp on Friday evening and disembark in Ostend on Sunday. We sail on Saturday and Sunday under the professional guidance of Arruno Exploration crew members.

Again, we are convinced that the different languages and cultures between the young people on the boat will not be a problem to make friendships with each other.
