Arctic Norwegian Expedition: Sailing trip Bergen (Norway) - Tromso (Norway) Inspire

Our programme during this trip

Embarkation

The T/S Saeftinghe will be moored in the Bergen area for embarkation. The exact berth will be shared via our communication channels a few days before departure. We will make sure that the location is easily accessible for anyone travelling to Bergen by plane or public transport, so that you can get on board comfortably and start your adventure.

We expect you on board T/S Saeftinghe on 15/03/2025 from 5pm.

The programme

We will depart from Bergen and sail mainly through the Norwegian fjords. Each day we cover distances in day trips, exploring Norway's diverse nature. Weather permitting, we may sail through the night.

Once we reach the Lofoten Islands, we will also take time here to briefly explore this unique area.

The route continues along the Norwegian Alps, continuing to explore the pristine wilderness and spectacular fjords. Depending on weather conditions, we will adjust the programme to get the most out of the experience.

We will reach our final destination, Tromsø, after 21 days.

Disembarkation is scheduled after breakfast on Saturday morning 05/04/2025 in Tromsø, Norway

For whom is this trip suitable?

With our voyages, we aim to introduce beginners to sailing and the ocean on the one hand, and experienced sailors who want to do something different on the other. But of course, not every trip is the same... That's why we distinguish between heaviness and effort. That way you have an idea of what you can, should and should expect.

This trip has 2 icebergs

This type of trip includes one or more crossings of up to one night at sea. As the trip is structured so that we spend a maximum of one night at sea during the same leg, we can easily adapt to any changing weather conditions.

This trip is full board

What is included in Full Board?

• Welcome on board
• Accommodation on board based on 2 persons per room. A room consists of 2 single beds (bunk beds) with shared washroom.
• Breakfast, Light lunch, Dinner
• Water, coffee and tea à volonté
• Performance captain and one crew member
• Use of safety equipment
• Use of the ship for the purposes described in the programme (mooring fees, fuel costs, maintenance, insurance,...)
• Bed and bath linen

What are the extras?

• Travel and accommodation costs other than on board
• Transfers from or to the port of arrival or the port of departure
• Excursions if not mentioned in the programme
• Soft drinks and alcoholic beverages
• Communication costs
• Appropriate clothing and footwear
• Costs for excursions, restaurant,... if not specifically mentioned in the programme.
