Discover the breathtaking waters of the North Sea and Baltic on board the sailing ship Saeftinghe. Departing from the north of the Netherlands, this unique sailing trip takes you past the Wadden Islands and, depending on the itinerary, possibly past Heligoland, before setting sail for the Kieler Channel. From there, we sail on to Copenhagen, across the Baltic Sea.

This voyage offers a unique opportunity to experience the beauty of these regions from a new perspective!

Our programme during this trip

Embarkation

Embarkation takes place in Den Helder or vicinity on Saturday evening 01/06/2024 from 18:00. A few days before departure we will give you the details of where exactly we are moored.

After an aperitif, we provide a light meal on board and you can enjoy an evening on board where we make the planning together.

You will have to organise your own transport to Den Helder.

The programme

On Sunday morning, we set sail with the T/S Saeftinghe to the Wadden Islands. Depending on the meteorological conditions, various sailing routes to the North-East Sea Canal are possible, including a stopover at Helgoland. Once we arrive in Brünsbuttel, we will sail to Kiel via the canal, which runs right through this part of Germany.

We will then navigate past the German and Danish islands, towards our final destination: Copenhagen.

Disembarkation

Disembarkation is scheduled for Tuesday morning 10/06/2024 after breakfast inKopenhagen.

For whom is this intended?

For those new to the world of sailing, this trip offers an ideal opportunity to learn and develop the basics of sailing under the guidance of our experienced crew. Experienced participants, on the other hand, will appreciate the chance to further hone their skills and delve into the more complex aspects of sailing navigation.

A possible night sailing trip adds an extra dimension to this experience, giving participants the unique opportunity to sail under the stars. These elements make the trip with the T/S Saeftinghe an unforgettable experience, where every participant, regardless of his or her level of experience, is fully involved in the workings of the ship and the sailing itself.

This trip is full board

Full board with Arruno Exploration includes the following:

Welcome on board
Accommodation on board based on 2 persons per room. A room consists of 2 single beds (bunk beds) with shared bathroom facilities.
Breakfast
Light lunch
Dinner
Water, coffee and tea à volonté
Service captain and two crew members
Use of safety equipment
Use of the ship for the purposes described in the programme (mooring fees, fuel costs, maintenance, insurance, etc.)
